A Syrian Refugee Short Film

I'm a short film producer, living and working in London. Having watched the devastation taking place in the Middle East from afar, and hearing some people's utter disregard for human life, this film is a way of trying to show that support exists and that not all of us are heartless.

The story focuses on Yousef, a Syrian refugee who is forced to make the trek to the UK alone. He finds illegal shelter in a home in London, but tensions both within the host family and outside on the streets causes him to question his own safety - and the family to question their own morality.

The film echoes the same thoughts, feelings and worries that many of us in Europe are now facing ourselves. Worries that we need to address in order to help those in need.

We're pulling this film together with such a dedicated cast and crew, and the final push of £600 would mean we could make it to the best quality we can, and really do justice to the message behind the film.

We need £600 to help us really make this special, and that money will go directly to the physical production. We have crew, locations, and equipment all sourced for free - our benefactors thus far have been so incredibly generous, and they completely support the film.

The £600 would help us pay for the cast, which in particular this film needs to be of the highest quality - without that, the true heart of the piece will be lost.

If you could just donate even £5, it would help us achieve our goal, and create something we can all share in, and share out to the rest of the world.

If you can't contribute a donation, you can still help by sending this out to your family and friends and spread awareness of what is truly a terrible and alienating situation for millions of people all over the world.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.

Yours sincerely,
